How do search requests work in WP-ImmoMakler?
With WP-ImmoMakler, website visitors can create a search request (search agent). As soon as a suitable property is published, they automatically receive an e-mail notification.
Functionality of the search requests
- Interested parties can enter specific search criteria (e.g. location, price, property type).
- If a suitable property is published, WP-ImmoMakler automatically sends an e-mail.
- This keeps interested parties up to date - without having to actively check the website.

β Show search request form
To display the search request form on the website by default, make sure that it is correctly integrated in the theme or page builder.
π Tip: Many themes or page builders support their own placeholders or shortcodes for integration. [WP-ImmoMakler documentation: Use shortcode for search requests β]
Deactivate search requests
If you do not want to use this function, you can deactivate it in the WordPress backend:
WP-ImmoMakler β Settings β Search requests
π View or delete search requests
You can view all created search requests in the WordPress backend and delete them if necessary:
WP-ImmoMakler β Search requests
There you will find an overview of all saved search profiles of your users.
βοΈ Problems with sending e-mails?
If notifications are not delivered reliably, this is often due to the lack of configuration of a mail server.
π Solution:
Install an SMTP plugin such as:
- WP Mail SMTP plugin for secure e-mail delivery
- Post SMTP Mailer for secure e-mail delivery
- or a plugin of your choice
π You can find more information about the setup here: [WP-ImmoMakler: Set up SMTP for reliable email delivery β]
