What is the Immowelt API?
The Immowelt API is a programming interface (Application Programming Interface) with which the real estate data and images from immowelt.de can be read out automatically by programming. (Further information on the API can be found in the Immowelt documentation).
WP-ImmoMakler® imports your properties directly via API from immowelt.de. A connection to immowelt.at and immowelt.ch is unfortunately not possible, as they do not yet provide an API interface.
To connect WordPress with immowelt.de, you do not need any estate agent software. However, you can still use real estate agent software in parallel if required, or even import your properties from ImmobilienScout24.de in parallel.
How do I connect my WordPress homepage to the Immowelt API?
Simply request your personal, free API key by e-mail from api@immowelt.de. Please enter your Immowelt customer number.
Then enter this key in the WP-ImmoMakler® settings in the WordPress backend under WP-ImmoMakler -> Interfaces -> Immowelt and activate the automatic import under WP-ImmoMakler -> Real Estate Importer. Your properties will then always be kept up to date on your website. You no longer need to log in to your WordPress.

Transfer references
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer inactive properties from immowelt.de, as the API currently only transfers active properties.
However, you have the option of connecting broker software in parallel in order to manage your references and transfer them to your website.

If the software you would like to work with is not listed, please contact our support team. We will then check whether a connection is possible.
There is a free open source broker software: https://openestate.org/, in which you could then maintain the properties centrally and transfer them in parallel to immowelt.de and your website.

It is also possible to add a specific keyword to the transferred objects in the object title or in the description text, e.g. "Reference", which is used to assign that the corresponding object is to be displayed as a reference. Please contact our support team for more information.
